Disable network print notification balloon:
After installing Windows XP Service Packs 2 and 3, a balloon may appear every time after sending a print job to a network printer. This can be disabled by either of the following methods:
Method 1:
1. Go to Printers and Faxes (Start, Control Panel, Printer and Faxes)
2. Click on File (be sure not to click on a printer)
3. Click Server Properties
4. Click the Advanced tab
5. Uncheck “Show informational notifications for network printers”
Method 2:
1. Run regedit
2. Navigate to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printer\Settings
3. Create a new DWORD value
Value Name: EnableBalloonNotificationsRemote
Value: 0
